When does a police officer receive his badge?

After graduation from the academy or police officers when he joins a department? And you are considered a police officer the day of academy graduates or not until you find a job?

In most academies until you are hired to go to the Academy in some of the major police forces, LA, NY, Atlanta, you do not even go to their academy unless you are first hired.

I exertion in a retail book business, work hard and love my job, absoloutely leaning helping customers and always receive good feedback from them. However the company mystery shopper has acknowledged a very negative feedback about my performance recently.
