I was gifted an MP4 player. Can`t seem to load software onto computer. The disc is a mini 3 inch. Adapter?

I `m baffled to load the three-inch CD that accompanies the" Coby "Trouper MP4 mark on my laptop for downloading video. On the disc it says loading on a laptop it may require an adapter.
