Could anyone recommend some parenting books for toddlers?

My 16m old son has started showing a actual tough personality recently. For example, if I ask him to turn right (direction of where it hurts) and he wants to turn left, he'll just burst into screaming.

Kids at that age can understand more than they can speak. They also do the opposite of what their parents yearn. I think you're supposed to ignore the screaming.

You may demand to have his hearing and speech evaluated. A 16month old should be speaking....at least a teeny.

What are some parenting books that focus on children ages 2-4? Any books, parenting advice, toddler discipline?

Specifically any books that trade with toddlers tantrums, pediatric health, practical parenting, child development and child rearing are what we are looking for.

The most desirable books you can select from are:

- Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby from Birth to Age Two

- What’s Going on in There? : How the Capacity and Mind Develop in the First Five Years of Life

Could anyone recommend a very good parenting book, for the parents of toddlers?

I would subscribe to What to expect with Toddlers, same author as What to Expect when Expecting, I found it very complete and helpful.

Parenting Books? Have you read either of these?

I am looking to find some toddler and parenting books for encyclopaedic reading. Have any of you read the supernanny book or the happiest toddler on the block post? Or do you have a favorite?

I've assume from them. And then I tossed them right out the door!
